Shopping spree!

The Math kids in my room were in for a treat today! Mrs. C, a parent of one of the students, set up a store and let the kids go on a shopping spree. They loved it! They had to count their money bags and take turns purchasing items and checking their partners.
Boy, these kiddos sure get serious about counting money! Mrs. Boggs is sure to check things out. I wonder if she found any bargains!

2010 is off to a super great start!!!

Our schedule is set and the students of Room 18 are ready to roll! Our plant and seed unit was a grand success and the extreme animal study resulted in some fascinating facts. (Did you know a blue whale's tongue weighs as much as an elephant?!)
We will tackle Social Studies next,and discuss different types of maps.
